Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a Development Officer focused on mid-level donors. You will lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for donors in the $1-$249 tier and expand engagement through the Communications team.

Strong CRM and data analysis will support moves management and targeted outreach. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years in donor development, with CFRE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Three years progressively responsible experience in donor development and donor management with CRM experience.
• CFRE certification preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Cultivation, Solicitation, and Stewardship of Donors (80%).
• Implement donor recognition, engagement, and moves management for mid-level donors.
• Enter and maintain donor data in the Interchange system per rules and processes.
• Prepare monthly reports on progress and donor records accuracy.
• Provide timely donor relations and personalized stewardship touchpoints.

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday / 40 hours per weekEmployee Benefits:29 days PTOAffordable Health InsuranceRetirement Plan with Employer Match12 Paid HolidaysPrimary Responsibilities:Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, creates and implements short-and-long term strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual mid-level donors; oversees a variety of mid-level donor activities and communications to maximize the organization's resources effectively and efficiently while providing appropriate avenues for engaging and recruiting new donors; creates strategies to increase identified and potential donor support; prepares analysis of fundraising activities for development of cultivation and solicitation strategies; implements strategies to elevate midlevel donors where possible to major donor status, ensuring that all aspects of the donor database management system are used to maximize donor cultivationManage the Tier 1 (Community Supporters) donor portfolio ($1-$249), driving retention and new donor acquisition in coordination with the Communications teamConduct prospect research to identify and qualify new giving prospects, building donor profiles that inform cultivation strategies across the pipelineLead donor services operations, including gift acknowledgments, cultivation strategy, moves management, donor relations in a timely, personalized donor touchpointEnsure donor data integrity in the CRM and deliver data analytics and reporting that strengthen stewardship, segmentation, and fundraising decisions across the Development teamKey Responsibilities:Cultivation, Solicitation, and Stewardship of Donors (80%)Implements stewardship and touch point strategies for a caseload of mid-level donors, as well as event attendees.Manages and implements donor recognition benefits and provides unique engagement and cultivation opportunities for mid-level donors.Executes strategically by building audiences through the gathering of state from the donor database to assess prospects, create prospect lists, and coordinate prospect review; working closely with the immediate supervisor to implement strategies that support on-going mid-level donor work.Ensures that donor cultivation opportunities are maximized, and that record-keeping is integrated into the donor database system; provides advice and technical assistance as needed.Enters donor data for assigned donor portfolio, including donor contact, gift, communication and Moves Management planning information into Interchange. Donor data entry must follow approved business rules, policies, and procedures for Interchange.Implements communications plan for mid-level donors to steward them toward continued and increased giving.Donor Management System Responsibilities (20%)Assists with and maintain Interchange (Territorial Donor Management System. Coordinate constituent updates and additions in database, perform troubleshooting, merge duplicate records, correct data entry errors, and ensure accurate input of mid-level donor data.Serves as Area Command contact for mid-level donor data in Interchange creating, enabling, resetting, and removing user accounts and roles within the system.Conducts research on prospects including individuals, corporations, and foundations for use in mid-level donor identification and cultivation for the purpose of supporting various projects as needed throughout the Area Command.Prepares monthly reports illustrating progress, maintains and manages accurate donor records in a timely and efficient manner.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language effectively.
