Job summary

KEDPLASMA, a Kedrion Biopharma Inc. subsidiary, seeks a Medical Screener to join our donor screening team. You will welcome donors, perform health screenings, and ensure donor safety in a fast‑paced plasma center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service in healthcare, retail or plasma/blood collection.
• Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required in Louisiana.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with FDA, cGMP and OSHA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors with accurate data entry.
• Guide donors through screening and determine if further medical review is needed.
• Perform vital signs and fingerstick sampling to measure hematocrit and total protein.
• Prepare and calibrate screening equipment per SOPs.
• Monitor donor safety and report adverse reactions.
• Explain the donation process and center policies clearly.
• Maintain donor records and ensure regulatory-compliant documentation.
• Operate NDDR and CDCS per guidelines.
• Keep a clean, stocked work area and update supply lot numbers.
• Support plasmapheresis by preparing machines and assisting with disconnection.
• Participate in center audits with accurate records.
• Collaborate with staff to meet goals and ensure donor experience.
• Answer donor and public inquiries courteously.
