Job summary

New Beginnings, a Seattle nonprofit serving domestic violence survivors, seeks a development professional to expand and sustain a robust major gifts program. You will represent the organization with compassion, support equity goals, and help advance fundraising strategies in partnership with the Development Director and Board.

Founded in 1976, New Beginnings’ mission is to empower survivors and mobilize community awareness and action to end domestic violence. We are the only full service agency in Seattle whose primary mission is to serve domestic violence survivors. With over 40 years of established history, New Beginnings has become a leading force in the movement to end domestic violence and has grown to include a full range of services for survivors. On average, New Beginnings serves over 10,000 women, children, and men each year.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Represent the values and mission of New Beginnings to the community with compassion and integrity. Commitment to contribute to agency efforts to promote equity and social justice. Contribute to the establishment and fulfillment of the agency’s development goals. Expand and sustain a robust individual major gifts program, developing strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward select donors and prospects. Support the Development Director, Executive Director and Board Members in managing their donor portfolios. Provide audience development support for events.

COMPENSATION

$60,000; medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; retirement contribution; paid vacation, sick, personal and education leave.
