The University of Utah’s Utah Museum of Natural History seeks a Philanthropy and Communications Events Coordinator to advance fundraising and outreach. Reporting to the Manager of Philanthropy & Major Gifts, the successful candidate will plan and execute a robust calendar of donor and member events and support donor travel for domestic and international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of related work experience.
• Donor Relations Specialist I requires bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of related work experience or master’s degree (or equivalency).
• Donor Relations Specialist II requires bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with CRM software is a plus, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and produce NHMU Philanthropy and Communications Department annual events including special exhibitions, Copper Club events, Member Preview Days, Lecture Series events, donor stewardship activities, weekend donor field trips, and more.
• Coordinate events related to the fulfillment of items sold through the annual fundraising gala (e.g., cocktail party, donor tours, travel itineraries).
• Support PR/Marketing by helping schedule and set up for promotional video shoots and press conferences.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Philanthropy team, manage invitations, RSVPs, and space reservations, and assist with the Annual Gala.
• Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team to implement donor engagement initiatives, including tours and unique experiences.
