Job summary

Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina is seeking a Philanthropic Advising Officer to cultivate, steward, and expand donor relationships across Beaufort, Hampton, Jasper and Colleton counties. The role reports to the Director of Philanthropic Advising and works across departments to deliver an exceptional donor experience while growing charitable assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years experience in philanthropy, fundraising, donor relations, or related field.
• Demonstrated success cultivating and stewarding philanthropic relationships and securing significant commitments.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals, families, businesses, and community leaders preferred.
• CFRE, CAP, CFP, CPA, JD or related certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of fundholders, donors, and prospective donors.
• Provide personalized philanthropic advising that aligns donor interests with community needs and Foundation priorities.
• Develop and implement cultivation, engagement, stewardship, and solicitation strategies to deepen donor relationships.
• Maintain understanding of donor objectives, family interests, philanthropic priorities, and charitable aspirations.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver an exceptional donor experience and grow charitable assets.
• Identify opportunities to align donor interests with Foundation Pillars of Impact and community initiatives.
• Represent Coastal Community Foundation at events and donor meetings, strengthening donor engagement.
• Partner with leadership to plan and implement major gifts and charitable investments.
