Job summary

Building One Community in Stamford, CT seeks a Development Manager to lead donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising campaigns. You will manage donor records, coordinate appeals, and work with the Board and senior staff to advance B1C's mission of helping immigrants thrive.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with donor management databases (DonorPerfect preferred).
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor communications tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor cultivation and stewardship, tracking activities and follow-ups.
• Develop acknowledgment and engagement strategies, including personalized communications.
• Support donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades, including recurring giving.
• Prepare donor briefings and outreach lists for leadership and Board members.
• Coordinate with donors through tours, invitations, and outreach opportunities.
• Maintain donor database records, gifts, pledges, and deposits with Finance.
• Generate fundraising reports and metrics for campaigns and events.
• Assist in Annual Appeal planning and donor segmentation.
• Support events with guest lists, logistics, and post-event stewardship.
• Collaborate with Board, BAG, Programs, Communications to align fundraising.
