Job summary

Friends of the James River Park in Richmond, VA seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to support fundraising operations, donor relations, and storytelling about the impact of the park. This role works closely with the Executive Director and a fractional CFO to ensure data accuracy and effective stewardship.

You will manage donor data, process gifts, assist with grant writing, and help share stories that connect supporters to the park's work and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, administration, communications, customer service, or event coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for donor data and systems.
• Maintain accurate donor records and coordinate gifts, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Prepare donor reports and assist with grant writing, calendars, and submissions.
• Coordinate donor stewardship and campaign communications with leadership.
• Support donor engagement events and community outreach.
