Job summary

Motown Museum in Detroit is seeking an experienced Development Officer to build and sustain a robust donor pipeline and provide exceptional stewardship to supporters advancing the museum’s mission.

The role manages a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors, identifies new prospects, and supports annual giving, memberships, and special events. Strong CRM and communications skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years of fund development experience.
• Experience with CRM software systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with donors.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation donors.
• Identify and cultivate new prospects to grow giving.
• Meet annual fundraising goals for assigned portfolio.
• Draft donor agreements, LOUs, MOUs and invoices.
• Support annual giving campaigns, memberships, and events.
• Represent Motown Museum at donor engagement opportunities.
