Job summary

Democracy Fund is seeking a detail‑oriented Partnerships Assistant to support the Philanthropic Partnerships team. The role focuses on scheduling, contract and invoice management, project coordination, and event planning in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years supporting a high-performing team, a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred), and strong organization and communication skills. Some travel and occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting a high performing team.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Track donor cultivation and stewardship activities in Salesforce.
  • Coordinate stewardship reports and files for frontline fundraisers.
  • Support production and coordination of major events, communications, and trip reports.
  • Assist with management of contracts, invoices, sponsorships, and grants.
  • Promote collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the Partnerships team.
  • Plan and manage event logistics and travel; maintain calendars and reports.
