Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Three+ years in a professional communications role.
• Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to translate science and technology concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest in science/tech and commitment to AAR principles.

Responsibilities

• Research and write donor reports and communications to inspire philanthropy.
• Translate complex concepts into clear language for educated audiences.
• Review, edit, and proofread donor materials from multiple reviewers.
• Draft gift acknowledgments and official correspondence for leadership.
• Create speaking points for donor events and update templates.
• Collaborate with design teams to produce print and web materials.
