Goodwill Industries of South Florida is seeking a store associate in Florida to support donations, processing, cashiering, and customer service.

You will greet donors, sort merchandise, hang clothing, operate the register, and keep the store clean and organized. The role requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to help drive sales and community impact. Teamwork and courtesy with customers and coworkers are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors for their donated items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
• Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
• Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
• Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
