Job summary

The Assistant Director of Development at The University of Georgia School of Medicine serves as a frontline fundraiser responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding philanthropic support for the School's priorities. It reports to the Senior Director of Development and manages a donor portfolio with emphasis on leadership annual giving donors between $1,500 and $50,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Two to five years of demonstrated experience in a relationship-based, externally facing role or leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Conduct frequent donor and prospect visits across Georgia and the southeastern U.S.
• Prepare donor proposals, gift concepts, and follow-up materials.
• Identify and advance major and planned giving prospects.
• Maintain donor activity in the university donor database.
