Job summary

USGBC California is seeking a Development Coordinator in Los Angeles to drive donor engagement, sponsor fulfillment, and business development across regional initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will ensure stewardship, manage the Copper CRM database, and support signature fundraising events like the California Green Building Conference and Green Gala.

You will collaborate across teams, coordinate logistics for campaigns, and contribute to achieving annual funding goals

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on fundraising, donor relations, or event sponsorship experience.
• Proficiency with nonprofit CRM systems and automations (Copper/Raiser's Edge).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for funder appeals and sponsor updates.
• Strong dedication to climate action and sustainability with collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fundraising identification, cultivation, asks, stewardship, and benefit tracking.
• Support event fundraising logistics for statewide and regional events.
• Coordinate administrative and digital workflows for giving programs and campaigns.
• Manage funder data, process gifts, run targeted queries, and issue receipts.
