Job summary

The Jacksonville Symphony seeks a Manager of Individual Giving & Corporate Engagement to lead donor programs under $10,000 and manage the Conductor’s Club benefits. You will develop renewal notices, secure new donors, and build event guest lists while analyzing giving portfolios.

The role requires strong writing, relationship building, and proficiency with donor databases; experience with Tessitura is preferred. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of successful experience in fundraising, prospect research or a related field.
• Experience creating persuasive fundraising letters directed at individual donors.
• Donor database software experience required; Tessitura is preferable.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Diplomacy in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage the "Friends" program and all individual donor benefits that apply to gifts below $10,000.
• Create and process monthly 3-step renewal notices (except for the Board of Directors).
• Secure new donors and upgrade existing donors.
• Build private event invitation lists and provide attendee reports.
• Develop analytical reports on development portfolios and strategies.
• Identify prospective donors using wealth screening and data tools.
• Collaborate on special donor events with Advancement Events Manager.
• Create proposals for sponsorships below $10,000 and manage corporate benefits.
