Job summary

The Oklahoma State University Foundation seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to advance donor-centered storytelling across print and digital channels.

You will lead content creation for STATE Magazine, develop fundraising materials, and coordinate media relations and events in collaboration with the Marketing and Donor Experiences team.

Interview donors and university officials, edit colleagues’ work, and use AI tools to improve research and production while upholding Foundation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field.
• 3-6 years of related professional experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Editorial Writing and Content Creation: create stories for print and digital publication; manage STATE Magazine content; interview donors, students, and university officials; edit for grammar and consistency.
• Public/Media Relations and Events: handle news releases; plan distribution; craft event speaking points; participate in major donor events and campaigns.
• Development Communications: create fundraising materials; collaborate with development partners; use AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness in donor communications.
