Job summary

Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) seeks a student intern to support communications, fundraising, events, marketing, and nonprofit activities. You will help donor engagement, storytelling, and event planning, with duties including donor communications, database projects, social media or newsletter content, and event support.

The program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, at 35 hours per week. A stipend of $9,650 for the full program is disbursed bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing studies in communications, public relations, nonprofit management, marketing, business, journalism, event management, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional, collaborative, and dependable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in philanthropy, nonprofit work, healthcare, or biosciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with donor stewardship and fundraising initiatives.
• Support special events and community engagement activities.
• Help track donor communications and maintain records.
• Research prospective donors, grants, and partnership opportunities.
