Job summary

BBYO is seeking a Donor Communications Manager to strengthen relationships with supporters through mission-driven communications. You will craft donor-focused content, manage campaigns, and collaborate across teams to align fundraising messaging.

The role emphasizes storytelling, writing excellence, and experience with donor journeys; Washington, DC preferred or remote within the United States. A bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or communications is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in non-profit communications, donor relations, or related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a donor-centric mindset.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and email platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement donor communications strategies that align with BBYO's mission and fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with the Director of Grants and Philanthropic Engagement to ensure aligned messaging across donor communications.
• Execute fundraising journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including journeys, dynamic data, and A/B tests.
• Support grants communications operations with distribution lists and content in internal systems.
• Draft, edit, and produce high-quality donor communications (emails, newsletters, donor spotlights).
• Create tailored content for donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and impact updates.
• Manage content hub for fundraisers with templates, photos, stats, quotes, and donor materials.
