Job summary

Stanford Blood Center, part of Stanford Health Care, is seeking a Blood Center Technician to work directly with donors across multiple Bay Area sites and mobile drives. You will support donor care, perform venipunctures, document accurately, and rotate between centers and mobile drives on a dynamic schedule.

Training is approximately 3 months, fully paid, with strong opportunities for promotion and excellent benefits as part of Stanford Health Care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluent English communication (oral and written).
• Flexibility to rotate schedules including evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors with paperwork and determine donor suitability.
• Provide information within defined limits.
• Prepare equipment and donor for blood draw and perform venipuncture.
• Maintain donor files and documentation.
• Clean and perform quality checks on equipment; restock supplies; maintain clean work areas.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.
