Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for the Jurupa Valley Distribution Center. You will direct daily production activities, develop schedules based on donation volume, and ensure safety and quality in a high-volume operation.

You will train and coach supervisors and staff, monitor KPIs, manage inventory accuracy, and coordinate inbound and outbound activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current valid driver’s license, able to pass MVR report.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume operation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities to achieve volume, quality, and turnaround goals.
• Develop production schedules based on donation volume, staffing, and business needs.
• Monitor workflow and remove bottlenecks to maximize throughput and labor productivity.
• Coordinate receiving, sorting, grading, pricing, and outbound distribution activities.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop production supervisors and associates.
• Establish clear performance expectations and monitor KPIs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee performance issues promptly.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure consistent grading and pricing standards are maintained.
• Monitor inventory movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Minimize shrink through proper controls and inventory management practices.
• Perform routine audits to ensure operational accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and Salvation Army policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safe operating procedures.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
