Job summary

OurCalling is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support in-kind donations, receiving, sorting, and stocking resources under the direction of the Resources Manager.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, nonprofit experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This on-site role involves teamwork with volunteers and adherence to OurCalling's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., retail, warehouse, shipping/receiving), preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sorting, organizing and shelving donated items per the approved process.
• Help manage selection, storage, and reallocation of thrift items.
• Communicate with Guest Services to assess needs and prioritize restocking.
• Keep the resource storage area clean and organized at all times.
• Be available for volunteers to provide guidance and support.
• Work with volunteers to maximize efficiency and productivity in handling donations.
• Uphold OC’s mission and values in all interactions.
• Support incoming donations by sorting and preparing resources for transportation during Inclement Weather Operations.
