Job summary

St. Matthew’s House (Southwest Florida) is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive donations, sort merchandise, and maintain clean warehouse areas. You will assist with loading/unloading items, and work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager to support daily duties.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong customer service within a faith‑based charitable organization. Training is provided for all required duties and certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No experience necessary, will train.
• Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; some overtime and occasional holidays.
• Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.
• Mental/Visual Demands: Normal mental and visual capabilities.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping; lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming donations and sort/process merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouses and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading donated items; ensure items are undamaged.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Assistant Manager on daily duties.
• Educate donors about programs and services.
