Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a full-time driver to safely operate a vehicle for donations, pickups and deliveries. You will safeguard goods, assist with unloading, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to safety policies and local regulations.

The role requires a Class C license with a clean record, at least two years of commercial driving experience, a current DOT medical card, and the ability to read maps and use GW radio/phone.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Class C CA Driver License with a clean record.
• Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience.
• California DMV record no more than 30 days old.
• Current MVR with no recent citations (except parking) in past 3 years.
• DOT medical card is required.
• Ability to read maps and communicate using GW issued radio/phone.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test.
• Excellent customer service and ability to interact with diverse customers.
• Available to work weekends and early mornings.
• Knowledge of cultural diversity and respectful conduct toward all individuals.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials.
• Safeguards donated goods to prevent damage during shipment.
• Assists with unloading, minimizing damage to donated materials.
• Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and escalates when necessary.
• Follows all policies, procedures and applicable laws.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Maintains daily work requirements with quality and quantity.
• May work overtime to complete tasks.
• Unloads vehicles and moves items as required.
• Provides direction to Truck Helper when applicable.
• Maintains regular in-person attendance and reliability.
