Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall performance of assigned Attended Donation Centers (ADC) in accordance with Goodwill Policies and fosters a safe and productive work environment. Manages training, coaching, directing. And validation of donation operations. Oversees all aspects of performance management and time and attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business data, recognize anomalies, and proactively investigate irregularities.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to correct and prevent data issues.
  • Develop and manage data ingestion processes using APIs, automated FTP, and cloud data stores.
  • Mentor team members on data structures, definitions, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain Power BI, Excel, and Tableau reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate across teams to define meaningful metrics and reporting requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and provide user training on reports.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
  • Support cross-functional problem-solving and data-related initiatives.
  • Submit required analyses and reports to Goodwill Industries International per data-sharing agreements.
  • Promote analytics capabilities and provide expert guidance on data and reporting practices.
  • Adhere to standard development and deployment processes in a collaborative environment.

  • Screens and hires ADC attendants emphasizing the importance of good customer service.
  • Provides orientation regarding policies, procedures, and an in-depth review of the ADC Handbook before on-site training.
  • Directs assigned ADC personnel activities per policy and procedure.
  • Trains, supervises and conducts performance evaluations for ADC attendants.
  • Coordinates all collection activities to ensure efficient, safe and secure material flow, including the staffing and scheduling of full-time and part-time employees to prevent the unnecessary closure of donation centers.
  • Maintains accurate records for assigned locations, ensures proper flow of information, and monitors the accuracy of Donor Count.
  • Ensures that ADC personnel follow proper sorting, packing and stacking procedures while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Ensures that ADC personnel meet established customer services standards and proper dress and grooming guidelines.
  • Validates that good housekeeping standards are maintained at all Attended Donation Centers.
  • Ensures security of donation goods through enforcement of security guidelines and standards
  • Investigates all instances of loss or damage of material or equipment to determine prevention and disciplinary action to be taken in consultation with Operations Leadership and Human Resources.
  • Follows, enforces and provides training to ensure that all safety policies, rules and regulations are followed. Completes and submits any necessary forms and reports immediately, but no longer than within 24 Hours, when a safety incident occurs.

Other Job Functions

  • May Supervise sheltered employees, rehabilitation trainees, clients and volunteers in assigned departments, conferring with Workforce Development staff in evaluating the progress of persons employed in these areas.
  • Fill in for staffing vacancies when necessary to prevent the closure of high-traffic donation centers.
  • Other duties assigned.

Education & Certifications

  • Vocational education (such as high school commercial or shop training, technical school, art school and that part of college training that is organized around a specific vocational objective).
  • Candidates should have more than one year's experience.

Other Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
  • Must be eligible for a positive outcome on the required state criminal conviction background check
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including automobile insurance, license plates, and a vehicle for travel.
  • Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
  • Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.

  • Balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, reaching, handing, feeling, and seeing depth perception, and near-sighted acuity.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Medium Work: Lifting 50 lbs. Maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work: Pushing/Pulling 100 lbs. Maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
