Job summary

M&M Management is seeking a Driver to operate a box truck to collect donated items from donors, including small furniture, household goods, clothing, and more. The role requires safe loading, excellent customer service, and the ability to follow routes and maintain records.

You will document donor details, item descriptions, and quantities, ensure secure transport to the warehouse, and represent the organization with professionalism while complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating a box truck safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws for large commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to a schedule.
• Proficiency in maneuvering the truck in tight spaces.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate changes in pickup routes or schedules.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck following all traffic rules and regulations.
• Follow designated pickup routes efficiently to maximize donations collected.
• Communicate with donors courteously and professionally during pickups.
• Load and unload donated items safely from the pickup vehicle.
• Ensure items are handled with care to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain a clean, organized pickup vehicle and report safety concerns.
• Accurately record donation details, including item descriptions and donor information.
• Provide exceptional customer service and thank donors for contributions.
• Report unique or valuable donations to management.
• Follow health and safety protocols when handling hazardous items.
• Efficiently unload donated items at the store and organize for sorting.
• Stay informed about the organization's mission and goals.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on procedures.
