Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Donation Processing Associate at the Habersham location in Savannah, GA. You will sort donations, grade textiles, and move materials while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and assisting donors.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience, strong communication, and physical ability to lift 40–60 pounds. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent job-related experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly assess donated goods and determine handling.
• Functional reading and writing skills.
• Good color vision and eyesight for sorting and grading.
• Must be able to use a hand truck and manage physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 40-60 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort Donations into categories: textiles, hardline goods, and trash.
• Grade, hang, and tag textiles according to standards.
• Move materials between workstations as needed.
• Assist donors with unloading vehicles and providing receipts.
• Maintain accurate daily donation records and donor interactions.
• Package seasonal items and label containers for storage or shipping.
• Support store shipment needs and complete required paperwork.
• Keep workstations and warehouse clean and organized.
• Interact professionally with customers, donors, and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required safety equipment.
