Job summary

CommunityAid Inc. is seeking a Donations Associate – Level 2 to deliver friendly, efficient service to donors while sorting donations and guiding others in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with production tasks, learn basic disinfection procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized donation area. You will also track donations electronically and support safety standards daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years for heavy machinery certification.
• Scheduling flexibility with evenings and weekend availability.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide excellent customer service.
• Sort donations by department; identify sellable items.

**COMPANY INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR ALL EMPLOYEES!**STARTING WAGE $16.75/HR WITH INCREASE TO $17.25/HR AT 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT!PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:The Donations Associate – Level 2 is responsible for demonstrating great customer service, receiving incoming donations, and sorting donations by identifying quality goods versus trash or unsellable goods while assisting and guiding others around them as a Donation Door subject matter experts. Successful Donations Associates operate quickly and efficiently in demanding and fast-paced environments. Level 2 Donation Associates are champions of maintaining a clean and organized donation area, following and educating others on all safety standards, and properly tracking the movement of donated goods. Level 2 Donations Associates will assist with warehouse tasks when and where needed, as well as learn basic production tasks, pricing, and disinfection processes. Performing all donation tasks consistently helps set up all other aspects of the business for success.Donation Associate – Level 2 are required to learn and use all manual machinery such as manual pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks, and be certified in some heavy machinery such as balers and compactors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Customer Service AmbassadorGreet all donors in a friendly and professional manner.Guarantee a positive donation experience even during busy times.Follow donation guidelines. Review donated goods for poor quality, damage and/or restrictions, and have the ability to turn away and explain why we cannot accept certain items in a way that is consistent with CommunityAid’s core behaviors.Patiently, courteously, and accurately answer donation questions and explain donation impacts while keeping donation flow moving.Championing donor loyalty and perform all partner donation tracking on an electronic tablet.Organizing and Tracking DonationsQuickly and accurately sort incoming donations by department.Identify items for trash or unsellable before they are sent to production or back stock.Prevent any bottlenecks or congestion at the donation door.
