LifeGift is seeking an In-House Donation System Specialist in the Houston area to cultivate relationships, improve donor referrals, and coordinate with hospital partners. The role involves training staff, handling recruiting conversations, and ensuring compassionate donor discussions on site.

The position requires hospital-site work, potential regional travel, and flexibility for non-traditional hours. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare/related experience is required, with 2+ years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combined total of 5 years education and experience in healthcare, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of OPO or healthcare experience preferred; must interpret and synthesize clinical information from medical charts.
• Experience in public speaking, sales/marketing, data analysis, and/or strategic planning preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Engage with physicians, nurses, and staff to facilitate organ/tissue donation and drive process improvements.
• Provide timely onsite responses to organ referrals in assigned hospital.
• Collaborate with Administrator-on-Call to determine donor referral suitability and next steps.
• Plan, implement and deliver training on donation program aspects to hospital staff to improve metrics.
• Determine approach for next-of-kin to ensure compassionate donation discussions.
