Job Title: Production Associate – Hard Goods | Department: Production | Reports To: Assistant Manager | Revision Date: 07/12/2024 | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

The Production Associate – Hard Goods contributes to ThriftSmart’s Quality Management and Value Management teams in order to categorize, price, and stock donated goods.

ThriftSmart requires its employees to pass a drug test and go through e-verification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sort incoming donations into proper categories.
  • Ensure quality control of all items - keeping the best and recycling the rest.
  • Price and ticket merchandise using pricing guidelines.
  • Stock merchandise on sales floor as needed.
  • Assist customers with loading furniture purchases.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Meet production standards for quality and quantity.
  • Assist other production areas as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in retail or warehouse environment preferred.
Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift items up to 40lbs.
  • Occasionally required to lift items up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to team lift items weighing more than 150 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
