Job summary

Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. in Stuart, FL is seeking a Donation Center Attendant. You will greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and ensure all items are processed safely and in line with Goodwill’s mission and values.

You will record donor information, keep daily donation counts, sort items, maintain a clean, safe site, and support site operations as needed. Required: basic math, reading/writing, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or different locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and courteously, assisting with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
• Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
• Sort donations into appropriate categories (saleable, salvage, or trash).
• Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Safeguard all donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Support transportation or site operations as needed and report any safety or maintenance concerns.

As a Donation Center Attendant, you are the first point of contact for donors at our attended donation centers. You’ll provide friendly and efficient customer service, assist with unloading donations, maintain a clean and safe site, and ensure all donations are processed responsibly and in line with Goodwill’s mission and values.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (40) pounds with no support regularly. Over forty (40) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed.
• Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion. Manual dexterity is required.
