Goodwill Industries Manasota Inc. is seeking a Donation Center Attendant- FT in Venice, FL. You will be the first point of contact for donors, handling unloading, tax receipts, and daily donation counts while keeping the site safe and organized.

You’ll sort donations, assist with operations, and uphold Goodwill’s mission and values. The role requires flexibility for varied shifts and locations, and physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or different locations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and courteously, assisting with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
• Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
• Sort donations into appropriate categories (saleable, salvage, or trash).
• Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Safeguard all donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.

As a Donation Center Attendant, you are the first point of contact for donors at our attended donation centers. You’ll provide friendly and efficient customer service, assist with unloading donations, maintain a clean and safe site, and ensure all donations are processed responsibly and in line with Goodwill’s mission and values.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet donors promptly and courteously, assisting with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
• Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
• Sort donations into appropriate categories (saleable, salvage, or trash).
• Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Safeguard all donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Support transportation or site operations as needed and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
