Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift CSRC in Ft Myers, FL is seeking a dedicated driver/loader to handle donation pickups. You will ride in a Salvation Army truck to collect items, load and unload donations, and assist with unloading at the warehouse/store. A valid State Driver's License and English communication skills are required. Hourly pay is $15.50 with benefits and a 40-hour schedule.

Six months experience lifting heavy items preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Six months experience lifting and hauling heavy items such as appliances and furniture.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

Responsibilities

• Rides in a Salvation Army truck on a scheduled route in order to pick-up donated items; assists in navigating driver to destinations by reading a map and/or hand- written directions.
• Lifts, carries, and/or hauls donations into truck; packs items in truck in a manner that maximizes use of space, protects items from damage, and ensures safety.
• Maintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
