Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lufkin, TX is seeking a part-time store associate to manage donated items, assist customers, and handle cash transactions. You will price and prepare items for display, ensure cleanliness, and support donors and shoppers with excellent service.

Preferred candidates have a High School diploma or GED and some retail experience, with flexibility to support a busy store environment. This role is on-site and paid on a part-time basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent combinations accepted.
• Experience in retail or warehouse environments is advantageous.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a register.

Responsibilities

• Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store.
• Determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the store and sorting room.
• Assists customers in donating, selecting and purchasing store items.
• Operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customer questions.
