Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Galesburg, IL is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise, keep the store organized, and help meet daily production goals.

This part-time position requires 20 to 28 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided, with ongoing coaching and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills while contributing to community programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with team to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.
