Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Davenport, IA is seeking a committed Donation Pickup & Delivery Driver to transport materials to and from designated destinations. This full-time role requires driving a Salvation Army truck and providing courteous service to donors.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, adhere to DOT and OSHA regulations, and represent the organization with a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Two years licensed driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT screen, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently.
• Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials.
• Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Maintain equipment in excellent working order.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Train and Certify New Production Assistants.
• Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army.
• Ensure all donors are treated courteously and respectfully.
• Communicate donation acceptance policy with donors.
• Report any pickup problems to dispatcher.
• Maintain professional appearance per ARC dress code.
