Job summary

Oliver Gospel in Columbia, SC is seeking a Part‑Time Driver and Logistics Associate to safely drive donation vehicles and coordinate pickups for the Hope Center and Thrift Store. You will inspect, load, secure, transport donations, and provide excellent donor service while upholding safety and program values.

Responsibilities include scheduling pickups, coordinating with managers, maintaining donor records, and ensuring efficient routes.

Qualifications

• Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service experience required.
• Excellent driving record required.
• Experience driving, loading, securing and unloading box-style moving trucks.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, approve and schedule donation pickups with the public using the provided software.
• Coordinate with Program and Facility Managers for pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate with Thrift Store manager, processing team and donors about schedules and details.
• Capture donor information into Thrifttrac and maintain accurate logs.
• Navigate routes using GPS and adjust plans for traffic or weather.
• Transport and unload items safely, prevent damage and loss.
• Follow truck safety policies during loading/unloading and on road.
• Provide excellent donor service and explain the organization’s mission.
