Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking friendly, customer-service oriented individuals to join our Peters Township store team. The Donation Door Attendant will assist donors, process donations, and keep the building orderly to support our mission in the Pittsburgh area.

Open morning, afternoon, or evening shifts include weekdays, holidays, and weekends. This is a regular, part-time, hourly position with a typical schedule up to 28 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with the public, stock or materials handling is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willing and able to work as door attendant specifically.

Responsibilities

• Install protective devices and ensure items are secured during transport and storage.
• Track donations and sort for processing by established categories.
• Direct and position receptacles and containers for loading.
• Maintain a clean, safe DEC environment and handle waste and clutter.

The Donation Door Attendant is an independent job, focused on providing outstanding service to donors of Goodwill. They will also be responsible for processing donated merchandise, quality control, and the cleanliness of their building in order to maximize the mission impact at Goodwill in their local communities. The Donation Door Attendant will be responsible for the security of the building. Open availability for morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, including weekdays, holidays, and weekends is required.

Status: Regular, Part-Time, Hourly.

Location: Peters Township Goodwill Store - 3492 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317

External Hiring Range: $14 - $15.

Schedule: Full-time, up to 28 hours a week, shift dependent on store needs.

Travel: None.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.


• Track donation according to standardized guidelines.


• Ensure packaging for shipment is properly secured and labeled.


• Pre-sort donations for processing by established categories.


• Direct and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can be loaded, including trash receptacles.


• Maintain a safe work environment by cleaning, mopping/sweeping, taking out trash, de-cluttering, reorganizing, etc to ensure the Donation Express Center (DEC) is free from debris, trash, dirt, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Experience with the public, stock or materials handling experience preferred.


• Willing and able to work as door attendant specifically.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must submit national background check upon hire, before the first day of employment.
