Job summary

SafeNest in Las Vegas is looking for a Donation Center Driver (Part-Time) to pick up donated goods, load the truck, and deliver to Savers Thrift Store. You will follow SafeNest policies and ensure accurate receipts while representing the organization professionally.

The role requires a Nevada driver’s license, 3+ years’ DMV history, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and effective communication with donors. Shifts are 7:00 am–5:30 pm, three days per week: Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license and 3 yrs+ clean DMV record.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• 1+ yrs driving experience with 16’ box truck or similar.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up donated goods from residential, corporate and commercial customers.
• Load and unload merchandise to/from delivery trucks and donation bins.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
• Maintain and document maintenance of vehicles and other equipment.
• Observe safety guidelines and wear the proper safety equipment.
• Maintain driver log and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Correctly fill out and provide donation receipts.
• Ensure Savers Thrift Store paperwork is correct and verified at every offload.
• Adhere to Savers Thrift Store policies and procedures while offloading.
• Maintain positive and upbeat demeanors while in the presence of donors and Savers Thrift Stores.
• Maintain quality service by following organizational standards, policies, & procedures.
• Provide excellent service to donors.
• Carry out tasks as assigned by the Driver Supervisor and/or Donation Center Director.

Job Summary

The SafeNest Donation Driver will be responsible for the pick-up of merchandise from donors, safely stacking the donation in the truck, offloading donations at Savers Thrift Store, and ensuring that the processing is accurate from Saver’s personnel. As the Driver, you will be familiarized with the policies, procedures, and goals of SafeNest. You will advocate most professionally while exceeding customer expectations both internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pick up donated goods from residential, corporate and commercial customers.
• Load and unload merchandise to/from delivery trucks and donation bins.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
• Maintain and document maintenance of vehicles and other equipment.
• Observe safety guidelines and wear the proper safety equipment.
• Maintain driver log and perform pre‐trip/post‐trip inspections.
• Correctly fill out and provide donation receipts.

• This position may require physical demands requiring good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects (minimum of 60lbs) of varying shapes, sizes, and weights repeatedly over long periods.
