Job summary

Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. in Florida seeks a Donation Center Attendant to greet donors, unload donations, and issue tax receipts, while maintaining a tidy and safe site.

You will record donor information, sort donations, and ensure proper handling of items, with flexibility for shifts and locations. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 40 lbs are required.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or different locations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and courteously, assist with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
• Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
• Sort donations into saleable, salvage, or trash categories.
• Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Safeguard donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Support transportation or site operations as needed and report safety or maintenance concerns.

As a Donation Center Attendant, you are the first point of contact for donors at our attended donation centers. You’ll provide friendly and efficient customer service, assist with unloading donations, maintain a clean and safe site, and ensure all donations are processed responsibly and in line with Goodwill’s mission and values.

What You’ll Do:

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (40) pounds with no support regularly. Over forty (40) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed.
• Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion. Manual dexterity is required.
