Job summary

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking friendly individuals to join us in our mission to help others and serve our local communities. The Donation Center Attendant role supports stores and Goodwill programs by collecting donations and helping donors.

Regular part-time opportunities are available at Ridgefield, CT, with hours Monday through Saturday 8 am–6 pm and Sunday 10 am–6 pm. Benefits include health/dental/vision options, vacation, tuition assistance, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift over 40 pounds.
• Comfort working in a standing position for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Cheerfully accept donations from donors and assist them with moving items from their vehicle into the center.
• Provide receipts to donors and thank them for supporting Goodwill’s mission.
• Sort/separate the incoming donations into proper sections or bins based on product category.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, answering any customer inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and orderly donation area.

Our Donation Centers support the entire organization, including different Goodwill programs that assist people with obtaining meaningful employment and bettering their overall quality of life.

As a Goodwill Donation Center Attendant, you would be an essential part of ensuring the success of our stores and Goodwill’s mission.

When an Attendant collects donations from generous patrons, they aren’t just doing their job but also helping others in the community.

Full Time & Part Time Opportunities Available

Available Hours:

Monday thru Saturday - 8 am to 6pm

Sunday - 10 am to 6pm
