Job summary

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut in Hartford, CT is seeking a friendly Donation Center Attendant. The role includes accepting donations, assisting donors with unloading items, providing receipts, and keeping the donation area organized and clean.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available with hours Monday–Saturday 8–6 and Sunday 10–6. Eligible benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life coverage, a 403(b) plan, tuition reimbursement, paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cheerfully accept donations from donors and assist them with moving items from their vehicle into the center.
• Provide receipts to donors and thank them for supporting Goodwill’s mission.
• Sort/separate the incoming donations into proper sections or bins based on product category.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and customer inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and orderly donation area.

As a Goodwill Donation Center Attendant, you would be an essential part of ensuring the success of our stores and Goodwill’s mission.

When an Attendant collects donations from generous patrons, they aren’t just doing their job but also helping others in the community.
