Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Donations Associate in Hattiesburg, MS. The role supports receiving and sorting donated items at the Family Store, with a schedule that includes Mon–Wed 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Thu off, Fri 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sat 8:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m. This 29-hour weekly position offers benefits and PTO. Responsibilities include unloading donations, organizing merchandise, and issuing receipts to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Receives and loads donated merchandise from donors.
• Ensures donated merchandise is unloaded into the warehouse in an orderly manner.
• Evaluates the donated merchandise and ensures proper storage and protection.
• Prepares accurate donation receipts for customers.
