Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a friendly Donation Attendant for our Fresno-area store. You will maintain and clean the donation trailer area, assist donors, prepare receipts, and help load donations onto trucks. A background check is required and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning the donation trailer/pod area at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items and providing receipts.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sorting donated material into proper containers and stacking as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing supervisor of needed items before running out.
• Securing the donation trailer/pod at shift end.
