Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Donation Attendant at our Fresno location. You will help maintain the donation area, assist donors with receiving receipts, and support the loading of donations onto trucks, while ensuring proper paperwork and organization.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, be able to read and write, and communicate effectively with staff, customers, and donors. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read, write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
