Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to assist with donations and store operations in Fayetteville, AR. You will help donors, move items, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere while upholding ACE culture and mission.

We value reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous experience is not required; training is provided to learn the donation process and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations by providing assistance and issuing receipts.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude and adapt to new duties as needed.
• Support self and team improvement and build a positive environment.
• Greet, Understand, Explain, Suggest and Thank customers (GUEST).
• Pre-sort donations and separate salvage items.
• Use a hand truck to move materials around the donation center.
• Unload goods from trucks and assist with staging.
• Keep the store clean and safe at all times.
• Complete accurate daily and weekly records when assigned.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Job Description

Assists contributors with donations and move materials within the store as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accepts donations by providing assistance to contributors and issuing donation receipts.
• Maintains a professional and courteous attitude at all times, willing to be flexible and assume new job responsibilities, as needed.
• Commits to self and job improvement and team building.
• Treats every customer and contributor as if they were a GUEST in their home. GUEST stands for Greet, Understand, Explain, Suggest and Thank.
• Pre-sort donations, separates salvage and removes.
• Uses hand truck to move materials around donation center and/or moves materials within the store as needed.
• Accepts donations of good quality and politely refuses unacceptable items.
• Pre-sorts donations by established categories and safely packs for transport.
• Helps to unload unfinished goods from truck and moves to proper staging area and assists team members with distribution of goods.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Completes accurate daily and weekly records when assigned.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
