Donation Attendant Store (Finance)

Position Summary

Contribute to the mission of Goodwill by assisting customers with donated goods. Responsible for the timely, accurate, and safe pre-sorting of donations.

Essential Duties

1. Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
2. Assist customers with their donations by promptly greeting every donor and helping them unload their vehicle, being careful not to damage their car.
3. Accurately presort donations by category and label donations accordingly.
4. Safely, efficiently, and accurately load trailers.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety for associates and customers.
6. Ensure the security of company assets and report any security or theft issues immediately.
7. Adhere to department policies and procedures.
8. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding issues in the donation area and customer concerns.
9. Maintain a positive public image by following dress code and personal hygiene standards.
10. Exercise sound judgment when dealing with customers to make decisions that benefit both customers and Goodwill.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
• No prior experience required.
• No professional certifications needed.
• Driving is not a required duty for this role.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
