Job summary

The Salvation Army (ARC) in Covina, CA is seeking a Donation Attendant for full-time, on-site work. You will manage the donation area, assist donors, process receipts, and help maintain records.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
• Physical Demands: ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area around the Donation trailer/pod at the start and end of each shift.
• Assist donors with receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material and place into proper containers as directed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform supervisor when items are running low (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
