Job summary

Goodwill North Tacoma store invites applications for a Part Time Donation Attendant. You will be part of the donations processing team, handling donor interactions, receipts, and keeping the area tidy. You may assist with unloading/loading trucks and pallets and receive training on equipment usage.

A customer-friendly, team-focused attitude is essential. Physical duties include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in a moderate-noise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accept donations from donors and issue receipts as necessary.
  • Keep donation areas clean and organized.

  • Provide courteous customer service to donors.

Right now our North Tacoma, WA store is seeking a Part Time Donation Attendant!

Position Summary: As a member of the Goodwill production team you will be responsible for processing and sorting the donations provided by our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Donation Attendant responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Accepting donations from donors and issues receipts as necessary
  • Keeps donation area both inside/outside areas clean, neat and free of debris at all times
  • Training on Gaylord and pallet use will be provided
  • Assists in the unloading/loading of trucks and/or trailers

Customer Service

  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, greets donors and carries donations from the donor's vehicle to the center and gives donor a receipt if requested.

Determining Acceptable Donations

  • Exercises good judgement in determining which donations are acceptable while communicating that decision to the customer effectively and politely as possible.

Record Keeping

  • Maintains all required records and delivers them to supervisors or drivers as scheduled.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
