Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests.
  2. Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles.
  3. Accurately record donations.
  4. Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
  5. Operate manual and/or power equipment safely, depending on location.
  6. Keep donation area clean and free of debris.
  7. Complete donor receipts and offer a copy to the donor.
  8. Sort donated items into designated categories.
  9. Follow safety and security practices, reporting hazards, hazards, and injuries to management.
  10. Maintain a clean, neat uniform and appearance.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist truck and driver helper with loading/unloading donations.
  2. Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
  3. Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to provide exceptional service to customers and internal staff.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, kneel, and climb for up to 7 hours during an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least six months of previous work experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Experience in warehouse operations.
  • Experience with pallet packing and forklift operation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Multilingual with proficiency in English.
