Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles.
- Accurately record donations.
- Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Operate manual and/or power equipment safely (depending on location).
- Keep donation area clean and free of debris.
- Complete donor receipts and offer a copy to the donor.
- Sort donated items into designated categories.
- Follow safety and security practices, reporting hazards or injuries.
- Maintain a neat uniform and appearance.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist truck and driver helper with loading/unloading donations.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, lift, kneel, and climb for prolonged periods (up to 7 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least six months of previous work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in warehouse settings, including pallet packing and forklift operation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Multilingual abilities, including proficiency in English.
