Job summary

arc Thrift Stores in Colorado is seeking a Donation Attendant to assist with pricing donated merchandise, prepare items for sale, and keep the sales floor organized. You will also help on the floor, assisting customers and supporting the pricer team.

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 20 pounds, work in a production/retail environment, and maintain safety and cleanliness. Prior retail or production experience is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists department pricers to meet sales and production goals.

Job Title Donation AttendantSep-24FLSA Status – Non-ExemptSummaryEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSelects items to be priced. Removes and discards trash from donated merchandise.Cleans merchandise as necessary.Sorts merchandise for the department pricer.Depending on the type of merchandise either tags the items before or after pricing.Stocks the sales floor with priced merchandise.Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.Assists the department pricers in achieving sales and production goals.When on the sales floor assists customers in their shopping experience.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Manager.QualificationsKnowledge, Skill and AbilityAbility to identify saleable merchandise.Ability to prepare merchandise for pricing.Ability to work as a team in a production environment and communicate with co-workers.Good customer service skills.Ability to work quickly without making excessive mistakes.Ability to organize one’s work station.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to work 40 hours per week and meet the schedule demands of a production/retail environment.Education and/or Experience RequiredSome retail or production experience is desired but not required.Physical DemandsWorks inside in a production and retail environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, stand and move throughout the store.Use upper body strength to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to dust from donations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
